Updated The Mega Man Network with some coverage from the Fall 2004 Toy Show, and I'm looking forward to the finished products, especially Command Mission X. The Mech Factory stuff looks neat, too. I really hope they come out well, and that the new sculpts will utilize some of the improvements I've suggested for the figures(CM X already shows signs of this with the more properly armored shoulders).

For those wanting to see how much Jazwares has improved since they started, take a look at the review here, as it shows off side-by-side pics of the Wave 1 figures with Wave 2.

And in truth, half of Wave 2's molds were supposed to at least be what we got for Wave 1, but a damned fuck-up Chinese factory that they no longer associate with ruined that. The new molds for Wave 2, Axl and Quick Man, are my favorites, so I look forward to Shadow Armor X, Command Mission X, Guts Man, and Rush.

Wow, I'm actually commenting with the story journal. What a weird feeling. o_o

I was curious, though... what's the deal with the Zero figure that's shown in the Mech Factory set-up? People on a forum I look at every so often were complaining that it was "awful", but it didn't jive with the other stuff they've been putting out lately. Any info would be much appreciated, so I could try and stop the pointless Jazwares bashing.

All in all, I'm pretty stoked about the line. I kinda wish they'd do more figures that haven't been done before(even though their Rush and Gutsman look far superior to the old TV show molds)... and am I seeing things, or is there a Sigma figure in there, as well?

All the Mech Factory, and even the lab, looks like early development stages to me, given the factory has MM packaging with MMX figures, and the lab reads "MegMan" if I'm not mistaken.

So give it time, I'm hoping that the reason they've not been replying to me lately was trying to prepare the stuff for the show, which is usually more to give retailers a general idea of what they're planning, as opposed to just showing final product(of which there is some of that, too).

I'm sure the final figures will look better, but I know precisely the one they've got to be talking about. I'm certain it was just rushed for the show.

Okay... as I said before, it didn't match the quality of the other figures, but some people just HAD to complain about the one mold that didn't match up. Heck, I give even the first series of Jazwares figures points over the Toy Biz Marvel vs. Capcom figure. A LOT of points. *shudders at the thought*

I think they're doing a dang good job with everything, all told. I think some people are just picky because of the Bandai models... but I give points to ANY company that listens to and keeps up contacts with fans.

Aye, too true, all of that.

...though at the time of the MVC figure, ANY Mega Man figure was good. And at least it had a good sculpt.
