Anyone know some tricks to getting a dead Xbox 360 controller to work? We've tried fresh batteries, but no good...

Seriously? I've never heard of the CONTROLLER dying before...

If it's not the batteries, it could be the battery pack. Do you have the battery pack of another controller you can try out? Or those rechargeable packs? If that doesn't do anything, maybe it's the controller itself... Sorry I don't know any more about this!

Huh, didn't know the battery pack could go broke... but no, we just have the two you gave us... only one has been working of late when we try to go 2-player (though I admit, I'm not sure we've ever used the other).

I'll try swapping the parts out later, see how that does.

I didn't think it could either, but it's probably the only alternative to the entire controller being dead, and the only possibility I found in the quick searches I did this morning.

In what way is it dead? Doesn't turn on at all, or just, things you press do nothing on the console? Does it light up at all when you hold the center button?

If I remember right, it does none of that.
