Ugh. Forgive me for not watching the actual video, but I just closed the window after reading the headline. Not like I'm some super animal rights activist or anything, but it still sickens me when people display a strong disregard for animal life. And especially with the asshole cops my State seems to be plagued with, it just hit too close to home!

Cop can wait to give me a ticket until AFTER I get the animal to the vet.

Fucking cops. What would of happened if it was a baby choking and no ambulance available?! What about people in rural communities with no nearby ambulance?

Fucking christ.

The cop was such a douchebag. Okay, the guy was going close to a hundred miles an hour, and that's dangerous. But the police have a duty to protect and serve.

If I were in the officer's position, I would've assessed the situation and driven the dog with one or both the owners to the vet myself. Simple, easy solution. Some cops today have no respect for the people they serve.

A similar yet worse situation happened about six or seven years ago. An elderly man was rushing to get his wife to the hospital because she was having chest pains. The officer pulled him over, ignored the man's plead for help, gave him the ticket, then informed the man that he must drive the speed limit. To make absolutely sure that he did, the cop tailed the poor man all the way to the hospital. His wife died on the way.

Both these cases come down to police officers following the letter of the law and not allowing themselves to respond to a situation as an emergency. I understand the need to be mistrustful to people they pull over (being suspicious has probably saved more officers' lives than I could count), but there comes a time when officers must be adept enough to respond to an emergency as it happens. No bias, judgement, or suspicion should come before the needs of the people they are supposed to protect and serve.

Sounds more to me like cops being small-dicked douchebags who got into the profession because it lets them carry a gun. It's bad news for the cops who really do go out of their way to protect and serve, because these are the fucking idiots who make the news and lower public opinion of the police.

Deplorable. What happened to that guy? Frankly, neither one should've kept their badges. I think any loss of life resulting from acting in such a way is inexcusable.

Look, I'm no animal lover, but that just sickens me.

"It's just a dog, you can get another one."
Clearly, the man has no clue about the sort of emotional attachment people have for their pets.

Or that pets are living beings, too.
