Jun. 22nd, 2008 04:10 pm1) Get Smart is awesome.
It wasn't 100% perfect, though.
But it only missed it by that much. *holds fingers just barely apart*
2) Hah, from the looks of the weather and those thunderheads, looks like VGL may be a wash anyway. I feel bad for anyone who's going, and those performing, but at my choice has some justification; I don't feel so bad about not going.
3) Game I want is marked down to a low, acceptable price on Amazon.com. But the bastards don't ship to Canada, and give no reason. So a slight problem, this.

Date: 2008-06-22 10:57 pm (UTC)Yeah, that frustrated me, how I could buy lots of types of items on your wishlist and have it get sent, but video games? NOPE. It must just be that Amazon.com sells the versions without French portions of the instruction manuals or some retarded thing like that.

Now how does that help? I mean, really? If I had the balance on my credit card, then I might just get the whole thing then and there.

Date: 2008-06-23 03:50 am (UTC)My father-in-law, who saw it when it originally aired growing up, loved it.
My wife, who never saw anything of Get Smart before this movie started coming out, enjoyed it too.
It's definitely worth a shot, though if you're about saving the movie screen for seeing something mindblowing with effects (Iron Man, Hulk, TransFormers, et al), you might want to save this for DVD. But I recommend seeing it, however you choose.
Also: Around the 30th, they're supposed to be releasing a sidestory of sorts to DVD.
