1) Get Smart is awesome.

It wasn't 100% perfect, though.

But it only missed it by that much. *holds fingers just barely apart*

2) Hah, from the looks of the weather and those thunderheads, looks like VGL may be a wash anyway. I feel bad for anyone who's going, and those performing, but at my choice has some justification; I don't feel so bad about not going.

3) Game I want is marked down to a low, acceptable price on Amazon.com. But the bastards don't ship to Canada, and give no reason. So a slight problem, this.

I could do another "receive and ship" thing for you again if you want!

Yeah, that frustrated me, how I could buy lots of types of items on your wishlist and have it get sent, but video games? NOPE. It must just be that Amazon.com sells the versions without French portions of the instruction manuals or some retarded thing like that.

Maybe, but they should at least know or say as much.

About as nuts as this (https://www.timelife.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=1001&langId=-1&productId=211683); you can pay in installments, which I was hoping for, but the balance can't exceed what's available on your credit card.

Now how does that help? I mean, really? If I had the balance on my credit card, then I might just get the whole thing then and there.

Oh, and I might do that... going to wait and see if this other guy's offer to grab it for me pans out.

Good to hear you liked the movie; maybe I will, too. I LOVED the series growing up.

Same, as did my father-in-law, and we both enjoyed the movie. So did Red, who's only exposure to Get Smart prior has been recent snippets for the movie and me going on YouTube.

I saw that Get Smart didn't get the greatest reviews, but man, I loved the old show, and I think Steve Carell is pretty funny, so I think it's worth a good shot. Think I'll see it this coming Saturday.

The review have been fairly evenly split. I think it depends on how much you liked the original show, assuming one ever saw it.

My father-in-law, who saw it when it originally aired growing up, loved it.

My wife, who never saw anything of Get Smart before this movie started coming out, enjoyed it too.

It's definitely worth a shot, though if you're about saving the movie screen for seeing something mindblowing with effects (Iron Man, Hulk, TransFormers, et al), you might want to save this for DVD. But I recommend seeing it, however you choose.

Also: Around the 30th, they're supposed to be releasing a sidestory of sorts to DVD.
