Cool: A home port of SVC Chaos: SNK Vs. Capcom

Suck: It's only on XBox(fuck YOU, SCEA, and your stupid Compu-Nazi policies).

Cool: Still being able to play it at work on occassion, and getting PAID for it, provided a customer is involved.

Suck: Various other stipulations involved.

Cool: Playing 2-player

Suck: Playing 1-player(CHEAP!)

Cool: Playing as Mega Man Zero.

Suck: Only sorta feels like Mega Man Zero. What, no tri-slash? No charge shot(other than a Super Move)

Cool: Unlike many secret characters, he has a story.

Suck: That story seems to make less sense than what people can make of the regular MM games. "Humans are my enemy," what? They also didn't bother to research enough to know that Irregulars are known as "Mavericks" here.

Cool: Even Ciel is there.

Suck: Half the time, they spell it "Shell."

Cool: Seems to be a pretty solid port.

Suck: Including the typos.

Cool: Classic 2-D Street Fighter/KOF-type action.

Suck: Being the only person in the store on a Friday night who remembers that stuff.

Cool: Lots of neat moves.

Suck: Seems they don't connect half the time.

Cool: Dan!

Suck: Dan's taunt. Or rather, the seeming lack thereof. Among a few other moves. That, or they just don't seem to work like they used to.

Cool: Dimitri...

Suck: ...but not Morrigan.

Cool: Athena in a bikini.

Suck: Not having the opportunity to play that far.

I can only imagine what an SNK-ized Morrigan would look like. I thought Chun Li's legs were huge in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. Then I saw her in SVS Chaos.

I think you can pull off Zero's triple slash, it's just not like it is normally. It's.. weird somehow, I kind of forget. I only played that to get the sprites because I'm sick in the head.

You can do the tri slash. And Morrigan was in enough games, she needs a rest. But then again I despise the game cause it lacks quite a bit to me.

Please, tell me how to do the tri-slash. Really, it ought to just be a triple-press of the slash button. Sigh.

As far as Morrigan, the same could be said for some of the others.

Thanks... that's actually sort of disappointing, when you consider how much easier MVC made doing Mega Man's moves...

IIRC, Zero's charge attack is also intact. You just need to roll forward a quarter circle and then press and hold one of the punch buttons. It's certainly not as potent as his super combo with the massive blast, but it's there all right.

Ah, ok. Frankly, I think it ought to work more like Mega Man's Buster in MVC. I noticed him charging sometimes, but couldn't figure it out...

Wow, that's cool you got to play the game! Jealousy ensues. But yeah, X-Box, what the heck? I thought for sure there'd be a PS2 version... isn't there one in Japan? I don't keep up well with the news.

Probably. SCEA are total assholes about things that their Japanese counterparts aren't. 2-D being one of them.

It's just weird, considering we got Capcom Vs. SNK 2 and GGX2 for PS2... Why not this game??

I repeat: they are assholes. ;)

They denied Mega Man X4, Castlevania: SOTN, and Viewtiful Joe as well, though they all seemed to end up being approved later for some reason or another.

Of course, if 2-D is done in limited numbers or as a "value" package, they tend to be more lenient.

Grr... dammit! You're right! They are assholes! I mean, SOTN was one of the best 2D games EVER... and even with the success of games like that, it's still not enough to turn their fat heads? Graaaaah. Weren't they reluctant to bring RPGs over when the PSX was still young, too?

Not "mainstream" enough.
