Wow, did you hear?

Disney Adventures is ending.

Too bad, I remember it growing up. It was a fun little 'zine with some pretty good Disney comics, though from the sounds of things, those have been mostly phased out to promote High School Musical or whatever is big now.

Same. I used to have like, a ton of issues... from 1990 to ... 1997. I stopped collecting them simply because I just lost interest in the magazine. Kinda sad, really. They were fun.

I remember that I got the ROCKETEER!!11 issue for like, my 8th birthday. I loved it so much but I somehow lost it. :

I used to read it too, before it became 70% advertisements, 20% articles, and 10% comics. I looked it up in a store recently and I was baffled that it was not only half the size it used to be, most of the pages were just ads and crap.

What was the adventure anymore? Finding the content?

Well that's a bit of a downer but that's what they get for becoming a big pile of ads and little real content in the past few years. Yeah I used to like the comics page the most.

It's a shame what became of that magazine. I still have just about every issue from the Macauley Culkin w/ Ursela cover to some issue in 97 or 98. After they dropped Darkwing Duck and Ducktales comics, the magazine just stopped being interesting. I mean, not that I read the magazine just for the comics, but those were the biggest reason.

So I can't say I'm surprised it's finally dying. I expected it to happen a long while ago.
