Aug. 6th, 2007 04:52 am...do Sears and JC Penny still do those neat "wishbook" catalogs?
Just glanced over the history of the TF term "Seeker" which seemingly originated in one, and remembered how much fun it was looking through those, mostly at the toy displays, and later at the video games, plus finding other stuff I didn't even know existed.
Between... a lot of years, as well as the rise of the internet, I'm just wondering if they're still around.
Myself, I'd love to somehow get my hands on old ones, for nostalgia's sake.
And to see the old layouts, lines, and art they'd sometimes use.
One of my favorites was this one from Sears, utilizing some very unique art of Bowser and his Troopas, some of the earliest I remember ever seeing.
And for fun, note the mislabeled Zelda II and Simon's Quest screencaps.
And the most expensive games were less than 43 dollars... ah, memories.

Edit: Stupid "no hotlinking" code... fixed the URL.
