Oy.

Shopping list.

1) Need to get some sort of an air conditioner. Gets too hot in here, and makes it harder to work/concentrate. It's becoming counterproductive. I'm not sure Dante's too thrilled, either. Might've been better when we had the screen door, so that we could open it and not worry about the cats taking a 15-story stroll. Not entirely sure, tho. Couldn't be worse, that I'm sure of.

2) Need to find some method of switchbox, or whatever they're called, for our game systems and the TV. It's officially become too big of a hassle to move that damn thing every time we want something different.

Anyone know what those things are called, where you hook up multiple Audio/Video cables up and switch between them? And how much does something like that run?

I think you're talking about a regular A/V switcher? If you want, I can rummage through my stuff and see if I have a spare one. The fancy ones can get expensive, but they can also be really cheap too. I think I used to use one from Radio Shack.

That'd be cool, but yeah, that sounds like what we need. Just something that lets us switch between systems/DVD or whatever without pulling the whole TV out...

Okay, I'll see if I can find it, and an extra set of composite cables. Though this trip, coming up unexpectedly soon, is right around the corner...

Sure, no rush. In the meantime, know if the 360 can play regular DVDs?

Btw, any tips for hooking the XBox up online? We have the cable for it from inside the box, but I think we might need a router or something to plug it into, if it reaches. Red knows more about this than I do, tho, but I think that's what she said.

And last question, can both controllers turn on the XBox, or is there some sort of configuration issue that needs to be addressed? I tried turning it on with the unpackaged one, and while the batteries seemed functional, nothing happened with it.

Yeah, I used the 360 to play regular DVDs all the time!

And yeah, to get it online, you need a router. I guess I just assumed you had one... There's an ethernet cable that comes with the 360, and hopefully it'll reach wherever your router is.

I think both controllers should be able to turn it on, but I usually just used one, so I'm not sure... Does the other controller work if both are connected to the 360 at once, like for a multiplayer game? I was pretty sure they were both synched with the system, but it's possible one may need to be re-synched (they should have instructions on the web site, I would think). Sorry, I should have found a spare set of instructions and mailed that with it...

Have not tried multiplayer yet, so I am not sure if it works or not. I will try it later. But no worries, we are learning as we go here. :)

As for the router, I will as Red about it.
