It's sort of like someone running towards a fire as people flee for their lives. As it is, while I don't want to KNOW spoilers, I won't be terribly pissed if I come across them; the extent of my Potter fandom goes to the movies, and that's really just about it. So when Red was reading up on what happens in the final volume, one part seemed to irk her, and I decided to ask why.
So she tells me that evidently, Bolthead has some kids at some point (I suppose one might surmise from this that Potter doesn't kick the bucket, but I don't know for sure), and this irks Red to some degree, at least in fantasy novels. I don't read fantasy novels myself, but I do have an affinity for legacy heroes. In fact, that's the subject of an upcoming article I'm working on.
But, I digress. I asked her if they gave the name of the Potter kid, she said no, and I said that I figured maybe the kid would be named Shaggy.
"Why Shaggy?"
"Well, if his father was Harry..."
"*GROAN* Well, I guess I walked into that one..."
