Ah, fun.

Stayed up this morning for a new ep of Turtles, only to find out that at 9am, they're showing the early eps from the series instead. So if you passed on them the first time, now's a pretty good time to jump on.

4Kids.tv has several eps on their site as well.

And what luck, while YouTube is faltering, Yahoo seems to have episodes available... including the banned "Insane in the Membrane" ep I'm watching now.

Fair warning, I kind of see why they wouldn't show it on Saturday morning now.

So, if the new movie's left you wanting more...

Incidently, I hope the movie does enough for the franchise that the toon can get back to normal after this Fast Forward excursion. Not that I don't like it, but I think it might be better suited as an arc than as a season/series.

Oh, Baxter... If it's any consolation, you're my favorite on that show.

I wonder why its banned

*Watches the first 3 seconds.

Oh.

Hey whats up with that intro? did they change it in the later seasons? or is it for another country? Channel?

Later seasons.

And keep watching, you'll see soon enough.

*Update half an hour later, watched the whole thing.

Holy crap that was a god damn good episode.

I especially liked the fact it gave alot of baxter's backstory and childhood.

The only problem I had with it was the fact that he was rotting to pieces over the slightest things, yet somehow had Incredible Hulk levels of strength. that made no sense! When April kicked him his jaw fell off! his arms should have ripped off the first time he threw a punch.

Seemed his muscles were still in decent shape... I imagine a rotting super soldier is still pretty formidable, even if not as much so as non-deteriorating ones.

The new Stockman was always a surprisingly grotesque character for Saturday morning. I was honestly surprised that 4Kids let them get away with it to the degree they did. I realize that the original comics were dark, but Stockman seems egregiously so in the cartoon.

The new TMNT cartoon lost me several seasons ago with the many second comings of Shredder and going back and forth in time (literally or virtually). It reminded me of when the Spider-Man cartoon delved into the Symbiote stories and stopped making sense. This is, of course, in stark contrast to the studio's previous cartoon, Jackie Chan Adventures, which ran more-or-less the same plot with each season (there are X talismans/jewels/oracles to find, get them before the evil businessman/dragon/wizard/spirit does).

Actually, I don't think this is the Jackie Chan studio making this one; I've seen their designs for TMNT, and they were rather different, and I think they work for WB besides.

Here's what I mean. (http://www.ninjaturtles.com/warner/warner.html)

Still, the new toon's been pretty good, I think, and I liked how before this they were able to pull off some pretty risque' moments and things.

Overall, I'm satisfied with how they handled the Shredder. He was a big bad, bigger than the original comics, but not as dominating in his writing placement as he was in the old toon.

yea I agree with that guy, When The Shredder became Krang, that was the last time I officially watched that show.

those WB designs look odd. Some things look more detailed, and other things (Turtles espcially) look alot less.

Shredder wasn't Krang, Shredder was Oroku Saki, one of the Utrom.

One thing neat about those WB designs is that they seem to really harken back to some of the old art, like what was on the Playmates packages and inserts.

It should turn back to normal in awhile. They say the "lost" season is really good. Two words, Tengu Shredder. I just don't know what he looks like.

I've heard bits and pieces, and I really want to see that. We were supposed to get it on DVD, but it was delayed/cancelled, whereas other regions that DID get it televised are also getting the DVDs.

That just blows chunks. HARD.

Furthermore, they decided to show an ep from the lost season the other week, but I didn't watch because it was so far out of sequence that I just didn't want to watch through.

It was just more superheros and that nano thing joined them. Plus you can find the "lost" season on the internet. I found some pictures of it a month or two ago. And yes, It does. Want to go with me to raid 4Kids one day? I'd like to get a few things/do a few things. That way I can fire the laser I have trained on it if they screw up the turtles too much.
(ha. Just kidding. But still.)

Heh, I still need to find those lost eps online.

I'd rather support the series by buying the DVDs, but if there are no DVDs (for this region) to buy, what can I do?

And that's how you justify it. Or say I'll buy it when it comes out.
Which I would. If I have the money I would get a couple of shows.
I have one already.

Yeah. But if they would have put the series out like normal then you wouldn't have this problem.

And right now is the perfect time for them to have the real series on tv. They just started at the first episode.
