Fuck the Diggers' Guild. It's the most idiotic, asinine test of ANYthing I've ever seen, in a MegaMan game especially.

They say it's a test of your ability to navigate ruins? That is 100% pure BULLSHIT. It's a battle royal, your ability to navigate doesn't even factor in the slightest. It's a matter of how long you can last with incredibly shitty weapons and equipment. I don't even think my stuff was this bad when I started the game.

Axl, Mega Man X, and Zero were given a rank whether they had weapons or upgrades or not. 100 years later, Mega Man Zero is ranked likewise, no matter how many skills and shit he acquires. And fucking MegaMan.EXE gets ranked the same no matter what chips he uses, so why is MegaMan Volnutt the damned whipping boy here?

I think my idea of logging Reaverbot data would make for more of a fair and interesting way of acquiring a higher rank, frankly.

I'd like to see these sub-ruins... hope that Easy mode has an easier guild test.

The tests aren't even in the Easy Mode, I don't think. Yeah, the Class S license is hell. There's a very specific way of doing it. Someone at gamefaqs made an entire FAQ just for that test.

Actually, the only way to avoid needing to do those tests to get everything in the game is to start the game in Hard mode. Hard mode gives you the S-Class license right off the bat. From what I understand, the license tests are supposed to be a dynamic way to alter the difficulty of the game. If you take the tests in Easy mode, it would be the same as changing the difficulty to normal, then to hard (once you pass the S-Class test). Though I do agree, the S-Class test is bullshit. It's annoying as hell, and I think the only way I really passed it was to keep taking it. I do have that FAQ for it, if you want it, though.

Maybe later... I was more or less hoping to see how my new Buster upgrades would work out, before I was reminded they practically send you in there buck-naked to fight everything.

Just the idea of it is bullshit, though. They don't even tell you what you're supposed to do.

I read the FAQ, I believe. And figured out all the tricks. Don't buy it. It's sooooo dependant on random calculations, enemy behavior and everything that it's not worth your time. Maybe with tighter controls (funny how they seem perfect for everything else in the game...) and less picky enemy-hit detection...

I don't know which of the tests you're doing, but don't fret. Even the S class test isn't that hard. The key technique to use is to pick up and throw enemies at each other, especially in the opening parts. When I last did it, I think I had about 1:15 left over, so it's very doable.

It is a test of your ability to navigate the ruins. You just have to get through them quickly. =P

Dont forget that you have to beat all the enemies to open up the next door though ;)

Class S is truly a pain in the ass. But it was worth doing last time I did it.

Yes, if you do it correctly, you'll usually have a lot of time left. If you screw up, well... Just restart the test...

I dunno, that's kinda bullshit, 'cause I can get through the ruins plenty quickly, but they won't let me, because I haven't killed every last thing.

I'll try the throwing thing, but that's not navigating, that's just fighting from point a to point b.

In order to naviagate the ruins you have to unlock doors. You unlock them by slaughtering reaverbots. Hence, killing enemies is part of navigation in this case.

Forget being picky. How would you want to be tested in order to prove that it is safe to send you into a upper class ruin?

With the equipment I'd be using, of course ;P

I have no luck getting past those fucking shielded Reaverbots. Fuck them. I've tried throwing enemies at one another, and it's not working for me...
