Feb. 28th, 2007 09:10 amAn amusing quote from someone's sig at PA forums. I believe it's addressing the notion of third-parties being afraid to develop for Nintendo as a result of Nintendo's own success in creating games.

Nintendo set up a DS buffet and all the third parties went to the PSP Diner. The Diner came down with a case of botulism and everybody wonders why Nintendo is fat when they return.
Or maybe it's just something else. It's funny to me, either way.

Date: 2007-02-28 02:28 pm (UTC)In the absence of 3rd party products, the Nintendo products really stood out. Now, 3rd party is scared to develop for the DS because they don't think they can perform up to the bar the first party products set? Very cyclical indeed.

Date: 2007-03-01 09:57 am (UTC)START DEVELOPING MORE GAMES FOR THE DS, YOU MORONS. Nintendo's games are far from unbeatable! COMPETE. Take RISKS. They'll pay off!
...Actually, what frightens me is the thought that releasing GOOD, FRESH games may really lead to fewer profits than rehashing the same tired cliches a dozen times over. Look at Megaman. x_-
