There we are, I've beaten Portrait of Ruin, I've covered every square inch, finished every quest, I didn't even have to use the Vampire Killer, and I've got most of the items.

Nuts.

I need to find a Skeleton Farmer and get his rice ball.

Weird thing is, I've evidently encountered one, but it must not have been very memorable, because I have no idea where the fuck he is.

Caviar is another, says on GameFAQs it's in the Nation of Fools, the top-right 3x3 room in a block. Wonder how I missed it, then...

Tarte au Poire is in the bakery... now that I have a Gold Ring, maybe I can get it...

Crap. I lack Peking Duck, but it's been found. Must've been that skirmish with the Cave Trolls and that big sword demon, when I wasn't able to grab them...

...I can't believe I have to visit the bakery "on my birthday" to get the birthday cake. A very nice touch, excellent even, except I don't think it should count. Who in their right minds would wait? Let's face it, anyone who cares in the first place will cheat and set their clock anyway.

Huh, I had the Medusa Whip, why's it not listed here? For that matter, why doesn't my Enemy list say I'm missing it?

This is odd, I got the Magus Ring, but it's not showing...

And it looks like the rest I just need money and shop points for.

I have to say, I'm rarely if ever a type who goes for full completion like this (and as I said, due to circumstances, it probably ain't happening here). So I guess that says something about my affinity for the game here. I didn't even play any MegaMan Battle Networks or even Super Mario 64 to full.

Hard mode runs are actually somewhat doable, as long as you have the Ancient Armor equipped and only use Jonathan. (It makes damage inflicted from any enemy take off a 10th of your health meter, kind of like the old school Castlevanias.)
