Got to see Spidey 2 earlier, MAN what a great movie. Spider-man > All others.

The fights with Doc Ock were great, and Octavious himself was such a great character... so much went on in this movie, and yet... none of it seemed forced or rushed to me. I guess that's the benefit of two and a half hours to tell things.

And fuck Kirsten Dunst. If she wants out of her sure thing, then fine. Recast MJ. A shame to do it considering circumstances I won't state here that would be spoilerish, but I'd rather that than see the movies end or MJ die.

...why couldn't she have been Gwen Stacy instead? Huh? Huh?

She was a mediocre Mary Jane, anyhow. Not bad, but not the superhot professional model that the comics version was, either.

Spidey 2, again, was great. I love how they really use the cameras to almost make you feel the whole Spider-man experience. I don't think ANY other superhero movie does it the way they do it here. Not Batman, not Superman, not X-Men. Spider-man's work, in this and the first one, make it as much an experience to watch as it is a terrific story with excellent characterization. And nice bits of humor, too.

And of course, events in this one leave me chomping at the bit for Spidey 3. I just hope they don't decide to throw a ton of villains in together as rumored. That's what started Batman downhill, after all...

And major, MAJOR kudos to whoever thought J. Jonah Jameson should get more screentime. Definitely one of the greatest characters ever... XD

I think there's a monster collection of Ultimate Spider-Man at Border's, and it may still be on sale for $10 off or something.

I was wondering if they were setting things up to introduce Venom eventually, since I remember in the cartoon they had the symbiote suit come to Earth on Jameson's son's space shuttle, right? I didn't like how they did that in the cartoon, but at the time I thought it was an okay compromise to bring Venom into the show... But then they went and animated the Secret Wars later on anyway. Argh!

Oh yeah, off-topic, but did you see the Garfield DVD? I saw it at Sam Goody the other day, and it has three of the earliest TV specials on it.

I could just cry... I have about the first 18 issues, but I haven't been able to keep up in a LONG time... I wish I had money... and a Border's. >_o

Rumor is that Raimi isn't a big Venom fan. I think he might change his mind if he saw the Ultimate version, though. It fits more with the theme and feel of his movies.

Seen it, yes. Rather, I've seen it for sale. Haven't been able to get one yet. :(

According to the Ultimate Spider Man Comic, Venom is technically a genetic experiment (And now Carnage as well)Both from Peter's own DNA, at that.

As for seeing a "Spidey 3: Venom attack", I hope not. For some reason I think it will suck too much for me to want to see. I'd like to maybe see some of the rumored crossovers that they said they were gonna do instead, or the Iron man movie (so long a Nicholas Cage isnt cast, because he's just ass ugly, not a millionaire playboy drunk).

And if they make X men 3 he way I heard they were gonna make it, I'm gonna slit my wrists and bleed out. Hollywood has a bad habit of making the third movie in a series suck ass. (Batman, Harry potter (though that one isnt the fault of the director, it was just badly written), etc)

Last I heard, Venom and Carnage were getting their own movie somewhere along the line. As far as Spidey 3 villains, they more or less tell you who one is going to be, but that guy doesn't have the force of character to be the major villain...plus I think he's a bad actor. =P Mysterio would be fun, if they could not make him look goofy. The Lizard is possible, since they did introduce Connors in 2...

I'd like to see Alistair Smythe and the Spider Slayers myself.

As far as Venom and Carnage in their own movie? Worst idea I've ever heard, at least without introducing them via Spider-man first. Can you say Catwoman? This could be worse, considering that unlike Catwoman, Venom and Carnage are practically copies of Spider-man... taking Spider-man out of them... what does that leave?

A pretty weird and poorly planned movie, IMO.

God I LOVED that movie! Seen it TWICE now and wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Two words: ELEVATOR SCENE.

Bar none, BEST PART OF THE MOVIE.

Falling onto the cars was good too. This one was WAY better than the first. WAY. They got a high bar set for 3, hai hai!
