The worst part of the Battle Network series to me is the random encounters. To that end, does anyone know any sort of Gameshark codes that disable the random encounters in BN2? 3, for that matter, will probably be useful later. I know there's supposed to be some kind of item in 2 that keeps you from encountering an enemy for a stretch or something, right? Is there a code from Gameshark(or other cheat devices) to prolong that?

If I still played games for challenge and being the best, I might not care. But now, I just play them for fun, and after awhile, when you've had so many encounters you forget what direction you were going, it gets too tedious for my liking. :\

..It's even more tedius if your goal is to be the best. Random encounters just suck. ;_x

This is the one thing that made me not like BN as much as I thought it would. Random encounters in a Megaman game just... I dunno. They don't appeal to me. :(

Granted, command Mission will probably be a different story. We'll see, though, I guess.

Hoping it works better in CM. Hoping...

BN should use a system similar to Super Mario RPG.

I can't be sure if this is a GameShark code or whatnot (since I use a ROM) but hopefully it'll work.

Hope that helps a bit.

More people should pick up on Lufia, or Chrono Trigger's methods of enemy encounters..

Meaning, you can see the enemies, and you can walk around them. If you really need XP or money or chips in BN's case, you can slam into an enemy and there you go.

I like that method. It flies just fine with me!

Agreed. Also works that way in Super Mario RPG.
