Ah, happy day.

I think I've just about figured out most of the kinks in the posting at PMO. Not to say I know the CAUSE, but it seems I can at least cancel them out.

I hope.

The real highlight of the night, though... well, happened this morning.

Finally beat Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Not that I was in anything resembling a rush to do so. No, this I savored... and loved every minute of.

Super Mario RPG was a splendid game, but I think I actually like this one better.

I'll likely make a full review on PMO later, but I've seen a review or two that detracted from the game by saying that this game was too much like its predecessor.

To me, that's a glowing recommendation for the prequel.

Even better, it's given me something I've been denied in my few RPG experiences, with the likes of Zelda, Mega Man X Command Mission, Super Mario RPG, and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga(whose ending was absolute dullshit(combination dogshit and bullshit, just made it up) compared to this one): the ability to go back to places after defeating the main objective of the game, and be able to find what I missed and receive the thanks and praise of the people(well, some people. Others retain their last dialogue).

In fact, they sort of set it up so you'll do just that, as there's more you don't see until you've "beaten" the game. I'd like to find a good FAQ that covers specifically the post-game stuff to see and do, but alas, GameFAQs seems to fail me in that regard.

Anyway, it's cool to be able to reunite and continue journeying with my party, including Goombella. :)

Red was disappointed with M&L:SS, and I had to convince her to play this, but she seems to be into it. I can say that it falls a lot closer to Square's side of the table than to Alpha Dream's in quality and fun, but it has a unique-yet-Mario flavor to it, all its own.

I can't wait for Super Paper Mario now. I hope there are hidden characters to play as, like Goombella. :) The cast of PM:TTYD are just too great to leave behind.

LBD "Nytetrayn," who wants a Goombella plush or something.
