HA! HA! HA! HA!

Guess again.

Is it me, or does it seem like terrorists do better at being a pain in the ass than spreading actual terror? Someone with sand in their shoes sneezes, and gas prices go up. Rumbling about this or that, and now flights are delayed.

Some passengers gave banned items away. Airport officials in Manchester, N.H., officials offered padded envelopes and paid the postage to mail items home.

That's a cool move, though, in light of everything.

Fortunately, the most expensive liquid I tend to buy is usually Coke.

Speaking of which, I wonder if they'll still serve drinks on board the flights...

Well, 9/11 managed to instill terror in me. Terror not of the terrorists, but of my own country. Even in a very liberal place like California, it instantly brought out the worst in people's xenophobia and prejudice. I caught some flak from total strangers for not looking caucasian, despite the fact that I don't think I look anywhere close to Middle Eastern. It looks like we refuse to learn from history...

I don't see why they'd stop serving drinks on flights, since I presume it'd be liquids that they know the source of... But they might use it as an excuse to serve only water, to save money on sodas and the like. And you know they'll never stop serving liquor because you have to pay for it. I mean, they charge you for snacks now. I'm sure they'll continue to scrape for any cash they can get...

Traveling by air is just getting suckier and suckier. This should be a GOOD thing, these guys being caught before they could do anything, but you know it's just gonna make life harder for everyone. Next time I travel I may need to brace myself and use Greyhound again...

Sorry, should've specified. Post 9/11. 9/11 just made everything else a pain in the ass, insofar as terrorists are directly concerned for the most part.

Ah yeah, definitely. You know, there are people that believe the Antichrist will bring peace to the Middle East before revealing his true evil nature. Not that I believe in that stuff, but it'd be worth welcoming an Antichrist into this world just to shut up Bush from ever uttering the word "freedom" again just to further his own agenda.

Quite a few ex-colleagues of mine were due to fly over to London today from Amsterdam to celebrate one of our clique's passge to a better life. Despite all the terrorism crap they still made it, albiet a couple of hours late.

Our government would have us believe that this is the biggest terrorist threat against our country since the war.

Evidently our government would prefer to forget the IRA and the 'troubles' entirely.

Tossers.

I'd better be able to bring my laptop onboard with me in a couple weeks, otherwise it'll most likely be smashed by the baggage handlers, and that will make for a most unpleasant Delta.
