I've got Nintendo on the brain. @_@

Playing Mario Vs. DK, level 5-3 is driving me nuts.

Also playing Mega Man Xtreme 2. Finally beat the damned pyramid boss. Turns out the secret is Giga Crush. On a boss. Who'd have thunk it? Ol' Doc Light really improved this armor from X2, not only is the G. Crush more devastating, but you can use it multiple times without the meter being filled.

Haven't touched Z2 in a while. Damned Anchus Bros. are pissing me off.

Would love to start Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, except I don't have it. And it's damn near fifty bucks plus tax to get. And I don't even like looking at eBay anymore, thanks to sellers who don't ship to Canada, or high shipping costs, or just the thought of Customs charging me the price of the item just to bring it in.

Had another point to make, but Dante's infernal meowing made me forget. :\

Might've had something to do with the Super Mario Bros Super Show, as I've been wanting to get that on DVD when it comes out, provided I can afford it. Though it does bring to mind this question:

Which is your definitive Mario voice?

Captain Lou(Super Show)
Walker Boone(AoSMB3, and I assume SMW)
Bob Hoskins(SMB movie)
Charles Martinet(Super Mario 64 and on)

Another bad thing to watch out for on eBay is the incredible number of bootleg copies. If it's under $15 with box and instructions, it's probably bootleg. What's really funny is when it says "Brand new sealed in box; does not include bonuses like wireless adapter or Yu-Gi-Oh! cards; official US release!", despite the fact that the three statements together are contradictory.

The bootlegs are absolutely shameless. And what's worse, sometimes people won't even KNOW they're selling you a bootleg since they bought it off someone else and didn't know any better.

Augh. I don't know why bootlegging is so prevalent on the GBA. Maybe it's the ease with which they can make them, compounded by the rarity of older games due to the system being overshadowed by console systems. I can't believe how hard it was to hunt for a copy of Astro Boy!!

Oh... and although it's not what I picture as Mario's voice, I guess that now there's no way any of us can shake the "Yah! Hee! Woo-hoo!" voice from our heads. Considering it's been in every N64, GameCube, and portable Mario game since Mario 64! "I got it!"

By the way, have you ever played the old Donkey Kong game for the Game Boy/Super Game Boy? Mario vs. DK reminded me a lot of that, but I didn't like the new graphics all that much.

Yep. :) Played it, beaten it. :) Wish I owned it. Think I borrowed it from someone in high school.

I like the new one's graphics... from a distance.

Ah man, I loved that game. That game alone made the Super Game Boy worth owning, and on the Game Boy, it was the one thing that helped me retain my sanity when we were between homes. I played that thing to death, and even tried beating my old scores, which is something I never do.

1. I own it, and I haven't played it in a year. Y'want it?
2. When DOES Super Mario Brothers Super Show come out?
3. My voice is most likely Captain Lou.

1) Have I given you anything? Or does this mean I'll owe you a favor? ;)

E-mail me at dx6 at yahoo dot com for my info, if you don't have it.

lol countless webcomics, sagely advice on video games, the works. And no, this is just to return a favor I owe you. And that's the most disturbing reason to do a ";)" I've ever seen.

Though if you were to come across any old Super Mario Bros. Super Show VHS tapes that you don't want anymore, I'd be happy to take them off your hands for you... :)

Heh, sorry, no such luck there.

And I hadn't considered the emoticon being disturbing... NOW who has the dirty mind? ;P

Hmm, tv.com's SMBSS page says it should've been out the 18th of this month.

My fault, seems that's just Zelda... huh.

Could've sworn I heard SMBSS was getting a boxed set. :(

...I think I'd have to say that my favorite is Martinet. I know that Mario's from Brookland, but I like to stay in denial and claim he's Italian.
