So, XBox 360 is coming out soon. Media's talking about it, there are various magazines and buyer's guides in the stores now, sites are chattering about it...

Feels sort of soon, somehow.

It's weird. To me, XBox almost doesn't feel like a video game system, not a normal one to me anyway. The hype around it reminds me a bit of PS2, yet the feeling isn't there for me. And while the original XBox is a damn fine gaming machine, believe it or not, something about it just feels... different, detached, seperate. Like it's not even a part of the same business as Sony and Nintendo.

To me, anyway.

Which is ironic. Nintendo's supposed to be the "other" company, yet XBox just feels like the odd man out to me.

Wonder why that is.

I felt the same way when the PSX came out. Sony? Making videogame systems? For me, it seemed "out there". Now look at them.

I try to imagine a world where the Playstation wasn't so popular...But it just doesn't happen. If it were, we would all be brain-dead fools with nothing to do.
