Oct. 12th, 2005 09:20 amLooking over this, it occurs to me I've never really watched Smallville. And I don't know why.
Now it's, what, season 4? 5? Now I sort of wonder if it's too late to start, or if my accumulated knowledge of Superman from the movies, comics, and cartoons would be enough to see me through.
They started it on YTV at some point. I wonder if it's still first season.

If you can, I'd try picking up the DVDs for rental(or "borrowing" them from someone). Season 2 and 3 have some really great extras, including the awesome gag reels.

What gets me about this setup is, Clark doesn't wear glasses here. So why would Lex not at all recognize his high school chum flying around in blue tights?
Not to mention that, from what I've seen, Clark Kent, mild mannered reporter hardly bears a resemblence to the younger Clark in demeanor.
Not to mention-- ah, the hell with it. Smallville might be good on its own, but damn if it makes any sense in light of the rest of Superman's history. At least from what I know. Maybe they've got some brilliant explanations for it all.
