lbd_nytetraynThat is the question, for it is no doubt a worthwhile and wondrous venture, but alas, without proper funding nor place in which to lay thine head, the trip would proveth ultimately futile, mayhaps even miserable, and first impressions have but one chance to be made, so to the proposed trip the Red one and I must say nay, nay to Otakon, for we simply cannot manage any longer to maintain our visions of a fantastic voyage to the holiest of gatherings for those of the like mind which appreciate the Japanese culture in ways that no one else can. I must say nay to the prospect of sleeping in the back of mine red chariot, for that is a task once taken, and once proven counterproductive, and it is with knowledge of such a task that I know I must decline this pilgrimage... for what was once a vision which inspired hope and prayer, now glows with the harsh light of reality, that there can simply be no way...

See Ash's friends cosplay as Kaiba and a Rare Hunter for most of the weekend. See Ash cosplay as someone else (Either Faye Valentine or Himemiya Anthy) for the rest of the weekend, save for saturday where - see above.

I'm also looking for a cheap TransFormers: Car Robots Brave Maximus. Stupid US child safety laws...
I dunno, I have strange tastes. I can't think of anything specific, as I'd no doubt go for alot more stuff if I saw it. But these are a few things I've been wanting for some time.
I won't ask anyone to go out of their way for me, though. I'll get other chances, I hope(that drillsaber is probably a 1:1,000,000 shot, though).

Date: 2003-07-09 08:26 pm (UTC)and you'll get other chances, this is true but this is OTAKON! The second biggest and most badass con that there is and I mean. Come on! It only happens once a year. Sure, Anime Expo is bigger (but it's also in Cali) but it's a lot more crowded and while i live closer to it I've heard horror stories about it and I just plain am not intrested. Otakon is like 10000+ people as I'm sure you've heard. Next year you guys have gotta plan to come so we can all be together and stuff. Especially since there's gunna probably be another planned Megaman group that time, too.
