Oct. 8th, 2005 04:07 pmDante may be too smart for our own good.
The other day, we found a bag of snacks he managed to consume and hide the remnants of.
And he manages to get his collar off all the time. He seems to have taken a real dislike to them.
They're the safety kind, too. I guess the obvious solution is to get a non-safety kind, but I'm unsure that's a risk we, Red especially, would want to take.
Any suggestions? I really don't want to run the risk of him getting out sometime and getting lost, hurt, etc.
We're also considering that microchip thing they can do now, but don't know how much it is...

Date: 2005-10-10 04:08 pm (UTC)Hmm. Have you guys tried a Harmony collar or a Beastie Band? Sometimes those guys aren't as irritating as the regular nylon breakaways. I'd chip him anyway, just to be on the safe side- but perhaps finding one of those collars might help you guys keep one on him. It worked on one of my shop cats that was constantly freaking out about her collar; she'll wear a Harmony one no problem, and it stays on.
