This came up in a conversation on IRC, where all things become typical conversation.

What precisely would, for example, a "female" strip club be?

Would it be one where the strippers are female?

Or would it be one where the clients are female?

This isn't counting the idea of a lesbian strip club where it'd be both.

I'm just confused at to which the labelling refers to when gender is mentioned, the clients or the performers?

Heh, indeed. I was just wondering if that was the full-on proper way of noting it.
