A mildly interesting factoid.

Since video games were repopularized by the NES years ago, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have missed out on only one generation of consoles:

8-Bit:
TMNT, TMNT2: The Arcade Game, TMNT3: The Manhattan Project, TMNT Tournament Fighters

16-Bit:
TMNT4: Turtles In Time, TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist, and two versions of TMNT Tournament Fighters.

32/64-Bit:
Nada. Unless I'm overlooking something.

This Generation:
TMNT, TMNT2: Battle Nexus, TMNT Mutant Melee, and soon TMNT3.

All in all, and that's not even counting handhelds, that's not too shabby. Especially for a licensed property, even though people dispute the quality of the games as of late(I still want GCN and GBA TMNT2).

It makes me wonder what other properties have stood up to the test of time like that. And by "other properties," I don't mean things like Superman, Spider-man, Bugs Bunny, and Mickey Mouse which have been around for the better part of a century, long before anyone even thought of video games. I mean more recent stuff.

Anybody?

Pokemon's been on every Nintendo system except like Virtual Boy and the NES if stuff that started as a game counts.

Nah, talking stuff from other media. Stuff licensed for games.

Not really. Those are all originally made as games, and most if not all from this generation.

Uhm, how about the Simpsons game-franchise. Sadly they fall under the unwritten law that each and every of their installments must suck!
...except the Arcade game, but that one was by Konami anyway.

I loved the arcade game. Virtual Bart and Bart's Nightmare had some alright mini games.

Hit & Run and that other one, the Crazy Taxi wannabe, weren't bad. I guess Simpsons is a winner.
