Also, I was reading earlier in the paper that the US government managed to secure/lease three Carnival cruise ships, including the one I was fortunate enough to go on for my spring break my last year of high school, for refugees of Katrina to live in for the time being.
And they refused.
They choose to stay in the arena, citing something along the lines of "moving once is enough" or "too much already." Fair enough, I suppose, but really, if you've come this far, I think going a bit further for some comfort might be a more preferable option rather than staying in an exhausted arena where, as I hear it, rape and violence have not become out of the question.
I dunno, maybe it's me.
Or maybe they're all just aquaphobic? I suppose I might be a little bit, too, after this.
