I'm done with it.

I've tried my best to try and keep things friendly between the two sites and try to get us to move past it, and try to encourage the higher road so no one gets hurt or offended or whatever by the stupid ex-rivalry that it seems more users than actual members are so intent to keep going, and seeing it spread and such. I don't believe I've kept quiet when something comes up on either side, but that changes now.

I really don't care anymore. Joking or serious, I'm leaving it to the people whom say it and to whom it's targeted to straighten out. I'm no longer a part of it, and I'm just ignoring it from now on, no matter the source. I've a sense of humor, I like to think(see my last post), but some things have felt less humourous(oh god, I typed a 'u' in there without thinking about it... fucking Canada is GETTING TO ME. SAVE YOURSELV--) to me as they felt like mudslinging. I dunno. Don't care.

I don't care anymore, I just hope I'm not caught up in any of it. Though if anyone wants to throw a jab at me otherwise, go nuts. I just don't feel like trying to figure out what's sincere and what's joking between the two sites anymore.

Since I barely ever see you due to your schedule anymore, I'll just say what I can here. The first of the first rules is, don't be bitter. I don't want to see this stupid thing fucking up our friendship or that between you and Tim.

Everything else I have to say I've already said in your wife's LJ post, if you feel like looking. Maybe I just wasn't there for the bigger picture, but the reaction of both of you seems to be much greater for much smaller actions coming from Tim than from PMM, and something about that seems off.

Maybe I just wasn't there for the bigger picture, but the reaction of both of you seems to be much greater for much smaller actions coming from Tim than from PMM, and something about that seems off.

Dunno what to say. I guess I just thought Tim was above all this bickering I expect from the likes of IHZ and Korcas and Rockman X and Kanuck. Maybe unrightfully so, but I guess that just sort of goes with the turf when you're the head of the site.

No ill will, though, seriously. That's why I'm just letting this stuff go for now, rather than bring it up everytime a speck of mud falls to one side. No favorites here, I want to remain completely impartial, and I think removing myself from such direct involvement is perhaps the best means to reach that end.

I sort of feel like a quitter, but maybe that's not a bad thing. Better to quit than become some sort of Nazi dictator, I suppose. Everyone's got their opinions, and I'm not going to get in the way of them... ANY of them, from either side.

Tim politely asked Phoenix, months ago, to reign in his staff, and he hid behind "well, first amendment." Since then they've had a field day with mocking us, and the moment Tim makes a joke that can even be construed as negative, it's seen as some horrible outrage.

Now maybe you've given Phoenix or Heat or whoever at PMM private lectures when they've (repeatedly) done much worse than what Tim has done, and if you have I wouldn't know about it. So maybe I'm totally wrong and out of place here. But publically getting outraged about Tim doing something, twice, that isn't half as bad as what PMMers have been doing nonstop for months... it just isn't really the sign of an impartial person. I'd like to think that you're truly impartial, but posts like this just make me doubt it a bit when I haven't seen a single one during the constant slamming we've put on a happy face during.

Not sure which "public" you're talking about. I think I kept it to PMs with you and Tim. Red says she made the post and it was public because she forgot that Tim has an LJ and is on her Friends list, and didn't want to hide it from him.

This post is at both sides, really. Red's gone off on PMM a few times on her LJ. I've just tried to keep it lower-key until now, for the first and hopefully last time(once these threads wrap up, anyway. lol intarweb).

That's fair enough. All I'm saying is that Tim's jokes were just that: jokes. We kept trying to play nice, and we kept suffering for it. As far as I can tell, Tim is just sick of being taken advantage of (remember kids, PMM was letting us help!). So he makes a crack or two, and I can't say I see anything wrong with that.

What bothers me more than anything PMM did, though, is what you and Red did. I know I've said it before and I hate to beat a dead horse, but the vast perception from people who you consider friends and who respect you, is that you're giving us a verbal lashing while sitting by and doing nothing while PMMers do much worse. I'm not saying you are biased, I'm just saying that the way you've presented yourself has given a lot of people an impresion of it, and that perception is what's really the worst part of this.

The fuck are you even talking about? I did nothing to RMX and he attacked me out of the blue, PMM people have been aiming shots at me for ages, and I IGNORED them. And it's true. I expect some people to go off on PMM, not just you guys(I believe you're just the most recent non-head-of-site examples that came to mind; I'm sure more than Rockman X and IHZ do it at PMM, too. Should I start searching logs and list every site member?), but not the guys who effectively represent us above all others as the proclaimed(not self, mind) Kings of Maturity, Logic, and Fair-Mindedness.

And what does my comment about people bashing on a game, good or bad, that doesn't exist yet simply due to the title, have to do with this?

Wow, what a mess. Distancing yourself sounds like the best idea. I have no idea what this whole conflict is about, and I'm sure there are good parts to both sides, but it also seems like both sides are acting childish.

Usually the "first ammendment" argument is brought up by people who know they're being dicks but want to feel entitled to do so.
