Date: 2005-08-13 06:29 pm (UTC)But I don't quite get the point of the "Build a Bot" thing. it looks like you'd be building Mega Man, but there is a Mega figure. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Date: 2005-08-14 08:07 am (UTC)If I'm getting a good chunk of the retro figures, I wonder if I should just collect them all seeing how I already want Elec, Guts, and Blues.

Me:

Them:
the retro figures follow the early concept + manual art and those characters dont have noses in that reference. these are capcom approved (japan really loves them) so consider it to be legit and not a mistake to fix.
If you really feel strongly about it, then go here (http://www.jazwares.com/contact.php). They can be receptive at times, just less so when I tell them ahead of time about things...

So... not sure. I THINK CapUSA was the one for the weapons...

Date: 2005-08-15 07:20 pm (UTC)Maybe in terms of basing it off of obscure unreleased artwork, but I still think it's obscure to use it in the first place seeing how Heat, Wood, and Ice have never been seen with noses in terms of official artwork and sprites. Even in Super Adventure Rock Man Heat Man and Wood Man did not have noses on their sprites... So I assume that they officially do not have noses whatsoever. The only time I saw Heat Man and Wood Man with noses is the Mega Shows, but that's the same show that let Sigma play the role of Air Man...
Maybe it would help if the figure came with a picture of the original artwork they based if off of....Why can't they?
I'm determined to get this nose problem fixed, if not I'll have to sand off the noses off my the figures I get myself.

Date: 2005-08-14 07:00 pm (UTC)They are still a relatively small company, after all. Maybe if they get bigger, they can afford to do that sort of thing more. As it is, this may just be a test... Jesse has mentioned that they may consider doing something similar in the mainline with Treble.
Look at it this way: it beats the paper cut-out standees that came with the metallics, right?
