Wicked fangame. Not Nintendo-perfect, but still Nintendo-good.
Only problem is, with our controller, the Jump button goes to SNES-Y location, with Run going to SNES-X location, and I've no idea how to change it, if at all.
In other words, Cube MMAC syndrome, which makes my thumb rather sore after awhile...
But it's free, and safe so far as I know. Definitely worth checking out, given the dearth of new 2-D Mario games.

I think it'd be better if it was on a different engine.
