Life has finally passed me by...

I consider myself young at heart. I still collect and play with toys, buy comic books to read them, not to sell them, and while not as hardcore as I once was, I still play video games.

I enjoy cartoons, for young and for old. I enjoy movies like Blade and Terminator, as well as shows like TransFormers and Spongebob Squarepants.

I understood Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles way back when, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, even Beyblades.

But for the life of me, I just do not understand this.

The collector craze.. it doesn't matter anymore if what you're collecting has any value beyond being a collectors item. It's a good way for something to be a self-limiting collector craze. Once someone realizes they're not really that cool, the prices will plummit and those who made money on it while it was big'll be rich.

Actually, these do fall down... and flip over, and back again. It's kinda neat, but not neat in the way the kids seem to be seeing them, not to me.

The toys are sorta neat, as tops go. They have style.

...though I still blink whenever the anime comes up.

Hmm, Mighty Beanz cartoon. If that happens, the world ends. So sayeth I.

As for Power Rangers, total no brainer. You have:

Ass-kicking guys.

Hot girls(who can kick ass).

Cool mecha.

Big-ass swords.

Bitchin' guns.

And occassionally the neat villain. Ransik and Ecliptor come to mind...
