Dammit.

John helped me make a copy of Cannon Spike for Dreamcast, a rather fun shooting game with Capcom characters, and the damn system isn't recognizing the disc.

Dammit all. I'm never going to get to play this thing.

I'm pretty sure when you make copies of DC games, you need a boot disk to load them... I don't remember the name of the one I used to use, but I'm sure you can find a boot disk somewhere.

only the first generation of DCs can play CD Roms as software. the second generation won't read them as software, and they won't read boot disks either.

your DC is just too new. you'd have to track down an older model.

Aww that sucks, I barely hear info about the game, but it has everyone's favorite boy robot in blue.

Yep, that's what first caught my attention about it.

It was a really fun game, too. I wish it were possible to find a non-PAL version for a good price...
