Like Cartoon Network, YTV showed TransFormers: Cybertron's third ep as the pilot. I blame the producers of the show. Idiots.

The theme song has really grown on me, though, and I'm sort of getting used to the odd notion that pretty much every TF except Optimus, Megatron, Starscream, and Hot Shot have accents. Even Jetfire and Landmine, carryovers from last year's Energon.

Go figure.

I miss the days of distinctive voice traits that weren't just accents, though. Like G1's bizarre idiosyncrasies, or even Beast Wars/Machines' manners of speaking.

I'm really surprised that the theme is growing on me as it is. Guess there's something to Australian hip-hop...

"Call You" is still better, though.

...I'm not entirely sure this show is in any way actually connected to Energon. Some things just seem to clash. Others fit. It's.. back and forth.

Nothing new.

In Japan, it seems not to be a part. The US toy packaging clearly connects it.

And with only the THIRD show having been shown(no first or second), it's really hard to say how they dubbed it, whether to fit in or not.

'Sides, Grimlock, Jazz, Blaster, and Soundwave were pretty distinct as well, without getting into the "BLAM! POW! KAZOOIE!!!" line of speech.

But it's still extra hard since it's just a translation. Notice that Jazz didn't only talk like that, the way he moved was timed to it..

It was supposed to be an entirely new storyline. Plus it's a new staff producing it (does GONZO's participation mean the ending will automatically be depressing or rushed, though?)

It's been back and forth. Armada/Energon/Cybertron was meant to be a trilogy. I guess Takara changed their minds.

And Hasbro didn't.

Of course, earlier on, Armada was supposed to be a pre-BW continuation of G1, too, so...

Galaxy Force doesn't continue Superlink in any way, they're unrelated, and Japan already confirmed they'll have one new TF show each year.

US version is supposed to be linked to energon, which probably means the US version is gonna be nothing like the Japanese.

Yeah, knew about that part with the Japanese ones. But so far, it's hard to tell if they're really working to link the two cartoons here or not.

Episode 3 is when they build the base and race to coat it with a stealth covering. ends with vector prime using his force chip and then tells the other autobots about the force chips.

I dont think I'll watch cybertron again until the episode where Nitro Convoy flits with Lori and ends up blushing. since they've turned Nitro Convoy into Override, a female character... I just have to see how they're going to get around that.

Ah. That's what we got. About as equally fucked up, I'd say.

I hear that Hasbro is going to be showing eps on their website. This is just speculation on my part, but I think they wanted to show the first two eps first.
