Jun. 20th, 2005 07:08 amGood ol' Yahoo.
Just leave it to them to get on one's nerves.
When I go to check my mail, I'm greeted with a screen that has me logged in, but asking me to verify my password to continue.
Before, when I'd do that, it'd let me into my e-mail. Now, I get this, in red letters:
"As a security precaution, please enter your Yahoo! ID and password and type in the code you see in the picture below."
So at this point, it wants me to re-enter my username, my password(again!), and the "word you see below," which is seldom a word at all.
I don't mind that last extra kink being added, but fuck, why do they have me jump through the password hoop in the first place if I have to enter ALL my information again right after?
Makes the "remember my ID on this computer" checkbox they give you worthless. I wish there was someone I could e-mail about this...
Not a term I choose to use often, but man, this is freaking retarded.
And for the record, I do have Gmail, that one's one I use for business. Yahoo I keep around for a lot of my old e-mails, as well as various stuff where spam might be attracted. "Multi-purpose," you might call it.

I'd rather not know.
