This just leaves me speechless.

George Clooney is Optimus Prime.

I'm not sure how this makes me feel.

Clooney, eh? Not my first choice for Prime, but if you mess with this vocals a bit in the editing room he might actually be a good choice. I'm not a huge fan of his, but I don't hate the guy. He DID play "Sparky the gay dog" on South Park, gotta give him props for agreeing to that. ^_^

I thought that was Jay Leno?

Hm. I could swear that Clooney was interviewed and briefly questioned about it in one of those isle-walking TV tabloid "over here!" type of things, but I could be wrong. It's been a while since I've seen the ep.

But I KNOW he was the voice of the doctor that replaced Kenny's heart with a baked potato in the movie, which was pretty damn funny.

"It NEVER... GETS... ANY... EASIER!!!" *whisles happily and walks away*

Clooney did do Sparky the dog. Leno did Cartman's cat.

He better do a damn job. I lose faith in the actor ever since Batman and robin.

Gotta give him credit, he sucked it up for everyone and admit to it afterwards, even though it was really that ass Joel Schumacher's fault.

You can't blame Clooney for nipples, Alfred's niece, Bane, or Mr. Freeze.

Hum..

Clooney's pretty good at the "charming scoundrel" type role. You know. That sarcastic asshole who somehow has enough charm to keep you from punching him in the face.

...But him as Optimus Prime?... His voice could work, I guess.. but can he actually do the voice of a responsible leader character?... Prime might be spewing one-liners here...

(Though that actually does depend on the director and the writers.. so Clooney could be a really good choice overall)

*sighs* I wish it were Gary Chalk.

If it's supposed to be G1(which it seems farther from everyday), then I wish it were Peter Cullen, THE G1 Prime.

True, true. I wasn't aware that he was still around in the VA world.

"I'm not familiar with the role but I'm sure he'll make it sexy."

i.e. "I'm going to pretend I don't know what Transformers is so no one watching thinks by any stretch I'm a geek."
