Sonic says...

...looks like the gameplay is fun and there, but the Sonic art... BlazeHedgehog says it's polygons, but I don't see it in the character.
And Blaze the Cat?
Amazing that I'm somehow looking forward to Shadow's game more than Sonic's here.

Date: 2005-05-17 08:41 pm (UTC)But the portable Sonic titles have always evoked an "eh... whatever" feeling from me. This new one isn't much different.
I'm pretty sure the last Sonic game I got really excited about was Sonic Adventure. I played the heck out of that game. Probably played over 60 hours, but about half of that was done on someone else's copy before I got my own. Say what you want about SA, but it still stands as my favorite Sonic game ever. Sonic 2, 3 and S&K also hold a special place in my heart, but I've never gotten into them as much as I did with SA.
That said, everything past SA has been a major disappointment for me. SA2:B was flat out irritating at parts (I. Hate. Grinding.) and Sonic Heroes not only looked kinda bad (RenderWare's fault, I'd suppose) it didn't play that well either.
I'm still hopeful for the future of the Sonic franchise, but things don't look that great to me at the moment. =P Hopefully the Shadow game will turn out really well. I'd love to see Sonic Team succeed.
