Well.

Maybe I've misjudged Jesse. I just got(well, "just" being several hours ago) an e-mail from him highlighting the exclusive San Diego Comic Con figure Jazwares will have on hand.

Better still, I think this might be just the kind of icebreaker I need to get to talking to him about things.

As for the exclusive's identity? Check out The Mega Man Network to find out, as I don't want to spoil anybody on the game, nor the figure.

Pictures will be up as soon as Tim or Reeve manage to handle it, I'm e-mailing both of them with this, as I lack FTP access here in NC.

Trust me, it looks great. Minor discrepencies here and there I'll bring up later, but the mold on the whole looks great.

I'm assuming this is a recolor, but surprisingly the mold looks alright, it goes with the art style. Argh why couldn't they make an anime expo exclusive? (I don't go to the San Diego Comic Con...)

At least he's making it up to you by giving out this juicy little tidbit.

I meant exclusive as just that convention, not in terms of news.

Actually, I do believe I got to post it first, by a matter of hours, anyway.

Or at least before Jesse's post. Turns out I hadn't gotten to check that mail(nor did I expect anything, considering) before 17 hours had passed since it arrived.

Well to be completely honest, I was actually informed about the figure a day before, but this notice came from the site mortalkombataustralia.com, who apparently is also in kahoots with Jazwares. I didn't act on it then because they didn't provide any images or extended info links or anything, and because they seemed more interested in having us credit them than actually giving us the news.

I'm pretty sure Jesse mailed you the news before he posted it in PMM's forums, going by what you said, but I don't know at what time the pics were on Toymania.com. Regardless, if Jesse does keep pouring new content into the PMM forums, you and I need to find a way to work with this.

Indeed. It also occurs to me that Jesse may not be taking my position as a consultant very seriously, after examining the name of this exclusive.

Someone had mistakenly referred to Zero, the player character in MMZ that is, as "Omega Zero," and Jesse seemed to really like that name and want to use it on the packaging. I of course offered a correction to this, as for the sake of accuracy he should be called "Zero(as per the games, but there's already a "Zero" figure)," "Copy Zero(somewhat unofficial, but if the leader of NA was "Copy X" and Omega was really "Original Zero...")," or even "Mega Man Zero(it's in the US booklets, at least, and has a decent ring to it)."

And here we are with "Dark Omega Zero," which I only realized earlier that I had suggested "Omega Zero" for the evil version... but if Omega Zero were the name of the evil one, then why would they need "Dark" added on to it?

Anyways, might speak to the pres about this, seeing as how I'm not certain my thoughts are being taken too seriously in most regards.

At least Zero no longer seems to be "Zero mk. 2."

Dark Omega Zero sounds like a bad SN for someone at an MM board...
