Mar. 8th, 2005 09:48 pmSo I began MMZ3 again for the first time today. That is, on the actual Game Boy Advance SP itself.
It's still a bit awkward to adapt to. Partially because of the smaller screen, but also because after 3 SNES games, 3 PS games, and 2 PS2 games, dashing with a trigger button is awkward to me. I'm apparently in the minority for this to be any problem, though. Yay, lucky me. Is it any wonder I want a PS2 adaptation/remix of these games, though?
Instead of using the right trigger for it this time, however, I'm using the left, which seems to help a little. I'm still not dashing nearly as much as I used to. Makes my progression through the stages seem a bit less dramatic; I usually have to stop and think of just what I'm doing before I dash or dash-jump.
Still, I find it overall easier to control everything that's not left-right-up-down running to the other hand, with my right thumb.
Incidently, though, for the DS owners out there... is it possible to use the extra two buttons there for GBA SP shoulder button functions?
Why Nintendo thought making a portable SNES with a third of the buttons missing was a good idea is something I may never understand.

If so, the B-A thing is about like a regular GB/A, except a little more tilted, right?
Still, sucks for lack of customizing or GBA compatibility. I guess it's to reinforce that it's not the successor to GBA...

But I AM a bit weird.

Date: 2005-03-09 06:38 pm (UTC)Before, I could dash, jump, or dash-jump as one function, one press of my finger in different positions. Even firing/slashing. Now it's got to be seperated into two functions well-timed(which most of the time it's not).
