Suckage Television. Shitty Television. Spent Television. Pick a card, any card.
More to the point, our main TV isn't working, the one with the GameCube/MMNTransmission hooked up to it. Turn it on, and it just starts to turn on and off rapidly.
Been a problem for awhile now, though it was solved for about a week. Sadly, the solution no longer works. Either going to need a TV repairman or a new TV, from the looks of things, neither of which we can really afford.
Sadly, such is life. All one can ask is "Why?". I'm not a big TV-aholic. A little TransFormers, some Yu-Gi-Oh, maybe some WWE... the first two being in reruns, it's actually cut my TV time down, so I'm not exactly vegging in front of it all day, every day, either way. And I don't exactly go out of my way for WWE as I once did, either. So in the end, the new game is the biggest loss. In a way, I guess you could say "Transmission lost".
'Course, if I really wanted to, I could hook it to the bedroom TV, the glitchy one that cuts off if you aren't careful, and flips the picture occassionally. But we've got the PS hooked to that one, Red playing Castlevania: SOTN, and me cursing MegaMan Legends 2 for being the only game in the series without a player's guide. And I'm not sure a good FAQ to use, either. I took GameFAQs' biggest one, hoping it was the most elaborate, and printed it out. Turns out it's amusing, but not very helpful overall. Anyone knows a good, solid FAQ/guide for this thing, let me know. Damn game has gone unbeaten for long enough(I'm at the Yosyonke Ruins beneath the church/gallery, btw, if anyone is curious).
Oh, and a Canadian show Red and I watch, 2030 CE... well, going to NC helped us fall behind, and this has only further made us fall behind. Maybe we can just watch the whole series over again someday, with a good TV, as it's one of those "pay attention" shows, anyway.
In other news: Still looking for work. Tomorrow, I fax my resume to half the employment agencies in the city. Yaaaaay. Today, I went to the local YMCA and I have an appointment with a counselor on Monday morning. Sort of. They just told me to come in, the earlier, the better, after 9:30am.
Monday, I also try for a Wal-Mart application, and turn in a resume at Blockbuster. Neither job can be in any way good for me for very long, as my legs are essentially hamburger from the knees down, and I'm likely to feel it in the long run. Hence the employment agencies. I want office work. Something where I can sit, type, that sort of thing.
Speaking of Wal-Mart, my desire to work there was greater leaving the other day than when I went in. Some lady who's favorite words were apparently "You a-so stupid!!!" were giving the employees hell when her credit card proved faulty. They said they were supposed to keep it, by order of the card company, but damn if she didn't snatch it right back out of that manager's hand before she was done. Those are the kind of people I want to deal with, if I have to. The kind who are impossible, so I can see how far I can push them. If they get physical, so much more the fun.
Oh, and employee discounts wouldn't hurt my feelings any, either. Especially considering the absurd difference in Canadian pricing in so many instances. To the contrary, though, I'd much rather be making enough money so that I don't need no stinkin' discounts...
Oh yeah, tomorrow I get to see if maybe my brother-in-law has found out any info regarding me looking into a job fueling airplanes. Got the idea from the star of the "semi-autobiographical" webcomic Real Life, whose star and fave cartoon character of mine seems to do it for a living, and he seems alright by it. Regardless of whether or not it's as good as in the strip(or whether the author really does it), I've heard it's easy work that pays well from said bro-in-law, who works with the airplanes, so I figure it's worth a shot. Did I mention I live near the airport, too?
Finally, in "other" other news: landlords say I can park at the curb. So I park at the curb. Sometime nearly two years ago, not too long after moving in, I get a ticket for being parked there over three hours. Fine, whatever, it's bullshit, but I pay it, and get on with my life. Today, it happens again. Words will be exchanged with the landlords over this. Talking rent deduction here...
Well, this has gone on long enough. I need to work on that "Legends" fanfic of mine, but I'm thinking a couple hours of sleep would do me well first. Oh, and happy 4th to the "damn Yanks" out there. That's ALL of you Americans(and technically, myself), but I'll bring that up another time.
