Radio Killed My Sanity

lbd_nytetraynSo, I was driving Red to work this morning, and a thing comes on the radio talking about Velvet Revolver. Red mentions that she thinks the band isn't going to last, 1, because while they sound good, they don't seem to have the lyrics thing going on, but moreso because 2, their lead guy can't keep his ass out of rehab.
And all of a sudden, the absolute and total disgust hit me.
Not so much that he's in rehab, but rather, the fact that here we have the RIAA spending all this time, money, and effort cracking down on 10-year olds with massive lawsuits rather than doing more to keep their fucking talent clean and in some reasonable state of health. Or, dare I say, away from drugs and all the crap that comes with being a big music superstar, it seems.
Makes me glad I've not really been a huge supporter of mainstream music, most of what I like being on the radio anyway.

You know you're a big TransFormers fan when you're listening to the radio and the DJ says that coming up is something about some cool new Hasbro toy, and you get all excited. Even though it's probably the furthest thing to do with TransFormers.

You know you're a big TransFormers fan when you get pissed off at said DJ for not saying whatever they were going to say about the Hasbro toy when they get back from their break, instead going into a new string of songs.
