Well, if I'm not mistaken, the present tense verb form of "sue" is "suing." Since I'm using "Mary Sue" as a verb, rather than as a proper noun, I figured that "Mary Suing" was apt for the context.
So no, no inside MM fanfiction joke. Nothing close at all.
Mary Sues are typically self-insertations(wherein one makes a character based on themselves, only better) that are used in fanfiction and RPGs, where they are absolutely perfect, and every single character from whatever(let's say Mega Man) focuses almost all, if not all, of their attention on the "Mary Sue"(so named, I hear, for the first person to do it).
Typically, they never have any flaws, and have the love of their desired, and... it's sort of hard to describe without being redundant.
Let's just say that they're the equivalent of William Shatner at a Star Trek convention, but there's usually opposite-gender action involved as well.
Only if it's some bizzare person who wants to do a self-insertion story.
Oh that reminds me I plan to make the most inaccurate MM comic some time during 2005. Somehow it has to involve Dr.Light coming from another planet being found and adopted by a robot boy (Rock Man) and his wife (Iris). And for the sake of traditional MM inaccuracies Blues is evil (ala. Mega Shows and South American MM comic).
Mary Swing? Mary Sue-ing? Mary S-win-g?
