From the Canada Nintendo Examiner:
Nintendo sets U.S. sales records in 2010, confirms 3DS for March release - It would be nice to know what the Canadian sales look like, but at least we have confirmation (reconfirmation?) of when we can expect to get our hands on the 3DS.
Super Mario Bros. movie to air in Canada next weekend - Like it, love it, or hate it, now's your chance to watch it again... if you're in Canada and get Family, that is.
From The Mega Man Network:
Aero is named Aero - A universal name puts the "Unity" in "Capcom Unity." Or something.
Does Capcom Really Want You to Buy These Games? - Remember back in the day, when reels of poorly-assembled video would run in video game stores and rental outlets? Relive those memories, then thank whoever you prefer for today's more polished trailers.

Date: 2011-01-05 08:05 am (UTC)The SMB movie used to be on TV every now and then, but hasn't been for a long while. They should put it on Netflix Instant. If you can put aside that it's a Mario movie, it's kind of goofy, stupid fun. For a movie to really be awful, in my mind, it has to be unbearably boring. And I've seen more than a few clunkers in MST3K to believe that SMB isn't nearly as awful as most think it was. It just was an awful Mario movie. Had Mario not existed in the equation at all, I think it would have been realized as a quirky cult B-movie of the 90s.

Date: 2011-01-09 05:21 am (UTC)Mario is more like someone told the producers the story by phone, but didn't elaborate on anything. "Yeah, so there are these two plumbers. They are from Brooklyn. They go to the Mushroom Kingdom to save a princess who was kidnapped by this reptilian beast." Now if you had NO idea about the Mario games or the world surrounding them, how would you visualize those ideas?
